I would like to thank you all for your continued support and wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all staff and learners at The Becklands School.
We have had an exciting half term so far with a huge range of exciting experiences including:
- The launch of the physical skills element of our Duke of Edinburgh award. The learners are participating in a range of physical activities including swimming, walking and badminton
- We have created new bespoke timetables every learner which includes experiences such as music, DJ, outdoor learning, art, life skills, Duke of Edinburgh, woodwork and horticulture to name a few
- Our super successful MacMillian coffee morning which we raised £181.10 for a great cause and welcomed many members of the Market Weighton community who gave some excellent feedback on our wonderful school. They town mayor was blown away with the hosting skills and politeness of our learners
- We have been busy in the woodwork workshop creating some Christmas decorations for our Christmas Fayre.
- We have started lots of work experience placements at local businesses and have started exploring some alternative provisions to support our young people with their career choices
We value any feedback and would love to hear from you with any other suggestions to support our bespoke curriculum. Please access the following link to give feedback or ask a member of staff to send home a paper copy. Parent feedback The Becklands School December 2024
