Mike is an experienced communicator and entrepreneur who has enjoyed three successful careers. For more than 20 years, he was a successful and award-winning newspaper journalist, Chief Reporter at the Yorkshire Post and a regular contributor to some of the country's leading national newspapers before jumping ship to own one of the North's most respected PR and communications agencies. He is a former Director of several PR businesses including Edelman UK based in London. Having 'retired' in 2014, Mike became an elected member of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council and went on to serve on many committees, on Cabinet as Portfolio Holder for Planning and Regeneration and for a while as Deputy Leader of the Council during the difficult early Covid years. He is a former pupil and former Governor of Pocklington School.
