ABOUT THE BECKLANDS SCHOOL

The Becklands School is based in the small town of Market Weighton in the East Riding of Yorkshire offering up to thirty placements for students 11-18 years.

The Becklands is an independent school registered with the Dfe and Ofsted, specialising in education for students with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). We strive to achieve positive results by building strong supportive relationships with our students and offering an education provision which tailors the learning to each individual’s needs and abilities based around their Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCP).

In addition to this we offer the opportunity for our students to learn vital life skills to fully prepare them for life after leaving our provision including social skills, personal, further and higher education provisions.

We create clear boundaries through showing understanding, empathy, professionalism and behavioural management methods. We believe that this approach will promote and encourage good academic results and progression.

Putting the young person at the heart of everything for them to ‘achieve their personal best’.
