Vicky Simpson

Vicky Simpson – Proprietor

I’m Vicky Simpson, the Proprietor of Becklands School. I founded Becklands because I believe every young person deserves an education that truly understands them—one that is tailored, therapeutic, and filled with opportunities to grow.

With more than 20 years of experience in health, social care and education, I oversee the strategic direction, governance, and quality of education at Becklands, working closely alongside our Executive Head Team, Governors, and dedicated staff. Together, we ensure the school is safe, nurturing, and aligned with the highest standards for SEMH and SEND provision.

My passion has always been helping young people who haven’t thrived in mainstream settings rediscover their confidence and potential. At Becklands, we create a place where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to achieve—academically, emotionally, and personally.

Meet Our Executive Board

Our Executive Board brings together a wealth of expertise from education, social care, and organisational leadership, ensuring the highest standards of governance and strategic direction for our school. The Board is committed to fostering an environment where students and staff alike can thrive, supporting our mission to deliver excellence in education and care.

Below, you will find summaries of each Executive Board member, outlining their background and areas of specialism:

Claire brings a broad and well-rounded background from both the business and third sectors, supported by relevant qualifications and experience. This enables her to approach operational challenges with clarity and confidence, contributing to strong leadership and positive outcomes across the school.
